Takuma Morishige is the author and illustrator of the Japanese manga series My Neighbor's Seki (となりの関くん, Tonari no Seki-kun). The show centers on Rumi Yokoi, a girl who lives next door to Toshinari Seki, a classmate who engages in extravagant pastimes but manages to avoid being detected. First released in 2010 as a one-shot, it began serialization in Entertainment Factory's Comic Flapper journal in November of the same year. In North America, the manga is published by Vertical. A special edition of the manga's fifth volume came with a new video animation by Shin-Ei Animator on January 4, 2014, and a television series adaptation consisting of 21 episodes broadcast in Japan from January to May of the same year. July 4, 2020 saw the launch of a like new manga series.

The narrator and point of view of Seki's games is Rumi. She keeps trying to focus in class, but her neighbor's antics nearly always divert her attention. Though Seki misinterprets her attempts, she occasionally tries to distract Seki from his projects by interfering with them, but she typically ends up participating in them instead. In fact, in certain episodes—like the one where he spends a day knitting or takes the Robot Family to school—Rumi becomes just as, if not more, immersed in Seki's games as the latter. She marries Seki in My Neighbor Seki-kun Junior, and the two of them have a two-year-old son named Makuru.

This anime is really underrated and it deserves more. I watch it when I'm bored, just do it to kill time. The anime is very funny, and I love the intro and outro as well. I just vibe to the music of it, and I just love this anime overall.

Most underrated anime. Many people yet to discover. It is a great anime which can be easily finished in 1 day. You can also binge watch it , cauz each episode is 7min and 39sec. It is comedy genere anime.
